Dad bought the Tamron 70-300 and a 2x converter. lol. Hey Di Sheng, You wont regret after buying this lens. But the Auto Focus is a bit slow and a bit noisy. Get it when you got cash lah.. haha.. Although no Stabilizer but if its bright enough, then it won't be a problem. Picture quality not that bad also. And the Macro aint so bad. quite sharp. Its a good lens for those without a Macro lens and its cheap, costing Rm680 with a hood. If you're using Canon camera, you need to spend like around Rm5k to get the Macro lens and the 70-300 IS USM. But ofcouse you will get what you pay for. You will have better picture quality and for the Canon 70-300, you will have the Image Stabilizer and the USM motor for faster and more quite Auto Focus. anyway, here's the pictures..

Birds are taken with the a 2x converter and Macro is taken without it.

Oh yea, after putting the 2x converter on the Tamron as you can see on the birds. Its like the colour wear out a bit. Overall, this lens a good lens.
